This Brand-New Grogu Robot Might Be the Coolest Way To Celebrate Star Wars Day 2026
Just in time for Star Wars Day 2026 on May 4 and the release of Star Wars' upcoming movie The Mandalorian and Grogu on May 22, Piaggio Fast Forward is debuting the new Grogu gitamini, with a design inspired by the beloved Force-sensitive character, Grogu, from The Mandalorian.
Like the company's other gita models, the Grogu gitamini has a range of features and functions. In keeping with the line of other mini versions of the gita robots, the Grogu gitamini is a cargo-carrying, following robot. The robot opens up to reveal a storage compartment that can hold (and transport) up to 20 pounds of gear.
Additionally, the robot has various sensors and cameras that allow it to identify and follow its leader, matching pace including periods of acceleration and deceleration. It is also equipped to navigate myriad types of terrain.
However, this specific design has unique a twist. The exterior of the robot is designed to look like Grogu's hover pram from the Disney+ show, which he was prominently featured in throughout the first season of The Mandalorian. Inside the robot, users can also get a peek at the Child himself, as part of this unique collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm.
The Grogu gitamini also features new Star Wars-inspired sound designs and real-time audio responses, as well as custom Star Wars-inspired decals on the exterior panels and interior cargo bin.
By pairing with the mygita app, users can track the distances they have walked with the Grogu gitamini and access other features, such as the status of the battery life. The robot also comes equipped with bluetooth capabilities-perfect for playing "The Force Theme," "The Imperial March" and other fan-favorite Star Wars songs-and comes with a USB Type-A phone charging port.
The Grogu gitamini is available now and can be purchased at piaggiofastforward.com and DisneyStore.com.
