Highly Anticipated Hard Rock Cruise Sold Out Days After Lineup Drops
Tickets for one of rock's most in-demand festival experiences didn't last long.
ShipRocked 2027, the hard rock cruise that blends live music with a full-on vacation experience, has officially sold out just days after the lineup dropped on Wednesday, April 29, with a waitlist now in place for hopeful attendees.
The annual event, now in its 17th year, will set sail January 24 through 30 aboard the Carnival Horizon, departing from Miami and making stops in Roatan, Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico. The cruise typically hosts more than 4,000 guests and nearly 30 bands.
And perhaps this year's lineup is to blame for the prompt sellout, with names like Papa Roach, Ice Nine Kills,Highly Suspect, and Badflower leading the bill, alongside dozens of other bands still to be announced.
The quick sellout follows a massive year for the floating festival. The 2026 sailing marked the cruise's largest yet, bringing more than 4,100 fans on board with performances from bands like Halestorm and Motionless In White. Beyond the music, the event raised a record $200,000 during its annual onboard charity auction, pushing total donations past $1.2 million for cancer research.

For the 2027 sail, attendees can expect everything from artist-hosted events and meet-and-greets to themed nights, karaoke sessions, and fun activities like rock-themed dodgeball tournaments and trivia on board.
For those who missed out, there's still a chance to get on board-but it may take some patience. With the cruise now fully booked, fans will have to join the waitlist and hope for an opening before the ship sets sail in early 2027.
