See Every Fabulous and Fun Fashion Look from the 2026 Met Gala Red-Carpet
The 2026 Met Gala, also known as "fashion's biggest night out," is a fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City that is held every year on the first Monday in May.
A highly exclusive invite-only event, it is attended by the crème de la crème of celebrities and the who's who of fashion, each personally selected by Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who co-chairs the event along with Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams.

The 450 attendees, including shining examples from the worlds of fashion, the arts, sports and politics, celebrate this year's theme, which reflects the title of the Costume Institute's new exhibition, "Costume Art."
In addition to the theme, which describes the overall concept of the event, the Met Gala red carpet also has a dress code. With this year's dress code "Fashion Is Art," expect body-focused couture, molded silhouettes and garments that blur the line between clothing and sculpture.

The Met Gala involves cocktails, dinner - overseen this year by chef Kwame Onwuachi, of the restaurants Tatiana in Lincoln Center and Dōgon in Washington, D.C. - and a high-profile and as-yet-unnamed performer. Attendees also always have a moment to explore the exhibition.
Vogue has confirmed that its sixth annual Met Gala livestream will kick off at 6:00 p.m. ET on May 4 and will stream live across its digital platforms-including YouTube and TikTok. Emma Chamberlain will return as Vogue's red-carpet correspondent, while Ashley Graham, Cara Delevingne and La La Anthony will serve as livestream hosts.
