The Best and Most Intricate 2026 Met Gala Manicures: Beyonce, Tyla and More
Any fashionable red carpet wouldn't be complete without a slew of perfect manicures - and the 2026 Met Gala was no exception.
Stars like Tyla, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé and more celebrated fashion's biggest night by matching their artistic looks with creative manicures, while others let their ensembles speak for themselves and opted for a nude set of nails.
Take Carpenter, for example, who coordinated her Dior film dress with a strip design, thanks to Zola Ganzorigt. To create the design, she swiped a coat of OPI's GelColor Super Base Base Coat before applying one coat of the GelColor in "Bare My Soul." Next, she used OPI's "Black Onyx" to paint on the nail strip before sealing the look with a top coat.

Tate McRae
Tate McRae rocked a shimmery nail design created by Analysse Hernandez, featuring gold embellishments to match her Ludovic De Saint Sernin red carpet dress.
"We went back and forth between her usual classic nude, an all-gold nail, or some sort of lace," the celebrity nail artist explained in a press release. "As soon as I saw her look, I knew we needed dimension and texture, while not adding too much distraction to her final look. Her classic nudes, ‘Bubble Bath' and ‘Put it in Neutral' by OPI helped keep this nail look very fresh and timeless. But since this is the MET, we knew we needed something to elevate her classic look. We agreed on a light shimmer on top of the nude for dimension, and isolated golden chrome and texture, to replicate a frame-like design."
Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter complemented her film Dior dress with a Zola Ganzorigt-created manicure featuring the same film edges on her tips.
First, she applied OPI's GelColor Super Base Base Coat before going in with one coat of the GelColor in "Bare My Soul." Next, the nail artist used OPI's "Black Onyx" to paint on the nail strip design before finishing the look with a top coat.
Kris Jenner
Kris Jenner opted for a simple OPI manicure by Diem Truong to go with her statement Dolce & Gabbana kimono.
Hailey Bieber
Hailey Bieber let her blue-and-gold Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello speak for itself by wearing a simple pink OPI mani, thanks to Zola Ganzorigt, who applied the brand's "Put It in Airplane Mode" shade.
Beyonce
Beyoncé rocked "a skin-tone base and gold floral accents to create a subtle dimensional effect," according to nail artist Miho Okawara. "The look is elegant but not too simple, with a touch of playfulness through the delicate gold flowers. It was designed to complement her overall styling while staying refined and expressive for the Met Gala."
Blue Ivy Carter
Blue Ivy Carter also got her nails done by Miho Okawara, who created a sparkling manicure for the Met Gala first-timer.
"For Blue Ivy, I created a French base to keep the look polished and more grown, while adding charms and Swarovski crystals to express her individuality," Okawara said in a press release. "She loves nail art, so I wanted the design to feel true to her personality while still elevated. It paired beautifully with her white Balenciaga dress."
Rihanna
Rihanna rocked a perfect manicure courtesy of Kim Truong, who created a mixed-metal look to go along with her custom Maison Margiela dress.
"The inspiration came from Rihanna's jewel-encrusted look - it had this beautiful mix of vintage metals and ornate details," Truong explained in a press release. ""I wanted the nails to feel like found objects, almost like antique jewelry pieces layered onto each fingertip. It's rich, imperfect, and dimensional-like a modern heirloom. Each nail was intentionally different to create that layered, jewel-box effect. I built out dimensions with sculptural elements - pulling inspiration directly from the embellishments in her makeup and dress - so the nails felt fully integrated into the overall look."
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian styled her custom Allen Jones and Whitaker Malem breastplate with an almond-shaped manicure by Kim Truong.
"The inspiration was mannequin hands," Truong explained of the design. "Something sculptural, surreal, and hyper-polished. Her look was designed by Allen Jones, whose work explores the human form in a bold, artistic way. I wanted the nails to feel like an extension of her hands, almost indistinguishable from her skin, but still elevated. It's minimal, but very intentional - like wearable art."
Gabrielle Union
Gabrielle Union stunned at the Met in a sparkly custom Michael Kors semi-sheer dress, which she teamed with gold French tips, thanks to Thuy Nguyen.
Dwyane Wade
Dwyane Wade based his manicure on his wife Gabrielle Union's, as she was his muse. He rocked one gold nail to match her mani and one brown polished nail, thanks to Thuy Nguyen.
Hunter Schafer
Hunter Schafer rocked a stony manicure by Emi Kudo.
"I used DND, which has such a wide range of shades, to translate the painting's springlike palette into soft, impressionist washes," Kudo said in a press release, noting that the Euphoria star's look was based on Gustav Klimt's Mäda Primavesi painting.
Joey King
Joey King complemented her shimmery Miu Miu dress with a simplistic mani by Thuy Nguyen. To create the look, she used the DND Gel Vintage Lace shade as a base coat before applying a chrome powder.
