The White House Baby Boom-Karoline Leavitt Gave Birth, but These Washington, D.C. Moms Are Still Pregnant

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt welcomed her first daughter, Viviana (a.k.a. Vivi), on May 1. And while the new addition to the administration is a much-anticipated arrival, several other Washington, D.C. moms are still expecting.

Leavitt is only one of the new mamas in the 2026 White House baby boom. So, who else is pregnant? Other political celebs in the spotlight include:

Second Lady Usha Vance

Wife to Vice President JD Vance, Usha Vance, is one of the most notable pregnant White House moms. As it turns out, she's the first SLOTUS in over 100 years to have a baby while her husband is in office. That's right, the last time this happened was in 1870!

The Second Lady is already mom to three kiddos: Ewan Blaine Vance (born in 2017), Vivek Vance (born in 2020), and Mirabel Rose Vance (born in 2021). She announced this pregnancy in January of 2026, posting a joint statement on Instagram with her husband that read, "We're very excited to share the news that Usha is pregnant with our fourth child, a boy." The Vances continued, "Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July."

SLOTUS recently showed off her growing belly bump at the welcome ceremony and the state dinner for King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as the military moms' Mother's Day celebration at the White House.

Katie Miller

Usha Vance isn't the only Washington wife who is about to welcome their fourth child. Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller's wife, Katie Miller, is also expecting number four. Miller is already mom to Mackenzie Jay Miller (born in 2020), Jackson Grant Miller (born in 2022), and Hudson Monroe Miller (born in 2023).

The pregnant mom recently ruffled feathers, posting, "The most feminist thing you can do is make babies," on Instagram. While her fans and friends flocked to the post, applauding the sentiment (and the carousel of pregnancy pics), some had a very different point of view.

In a less controversial post, Miller showed off her maternity style in a sleek, baby bump-baring gown at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Fans praised the picture, taken prior to the evening's terrifying events, writing comments such as, "So glad you are safe! Stunningly beautiful!" and, "Such a great photo. Just gorgeous."

Miller has yet to reveal her due date. But given that she announced the pregnancy on New Year's Eve, it seems likely that she'll give birth sometime soon.
