‘Young Sheldon' Stars' Reunion Warms Fans' Hearts
It was a night to remember for Young Sheldonstars Melissa Peterman (Brenda) and Iain Armitage (Sheldon) the other day.
The two met up in New York City, and it was smiles all around during their reunion.
Peterson took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos of her with Armitage. They posed on the streets of the Big Apple, enjoying being together again.
"You never know who you will run into in NYC! Loved seeing you @iain #brenda&sheldoninthebigcity #brenda&sheldontakemanhattan @youngsheldoncbs #hestallerthanmenow," read the caption on Peterson's social media share.
In the comments section of the Instagram post, Armitage tagged Wyatt McClure, who played Peterman's son Billy on the hit CBS sitcom. "We miss you, @thewyattmcclure !!" he wrote, to which McClure replied, "@iain missing yall too!"
Fans flooded the comments filled with excitement over seeing Brenda and Sheldon reunited. "This photo makes me very happy! 💖 Thank you. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻," said one fan. Another fan expressed, "You both look so happy to see each other again!❤️"
"Brenda and Sheldon 😮😍," gushed a fan. Others remarked on how much Armitage has grown up. "Omg.. lil Sheldon so grown up 🥹❤️🙌🏼," and "Bro Iain looks like pastor Jeff somehow" were some of those comments.
Several fans want to see Armitage and Peterman reprise their Young Sheldon roles on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. "We need to see yall on georgie n mandy," said a fan. Another fan stated, "pls put him on georgie & mandy - we miss him!!!"
Brenda and Sheldon are two of the major Young Sheldon characters who have yet to appear on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Even Lance Barber, whose character George Sr. died on Young Sheldon, has popped up on the spin-off.
One fan even suggested that one Young Sheldon star join Peterman on Happy's Place with Reba McEntire. "Loved Young Sheldon so much. Would love to see Lance Barber as a love interest for you on Happy's Place."
What a treat for fans to see a very grown-up Iain Armitage and Hallmark star Melissa Peterman reunited.
