"Monday nights at 10 p.m. just became appointment television 😍," Today with Jenna & Sheinellecaptioned an Instagram clip of the big news.

"Congratulations to Jenna on her new pilot Line of Fire going to series!" Sheinelle Jones declared.

In the accompanying video, Jones declared, "Jenna Bush Hager, congratulations–your pilot got picked up! That's huge."

"We're so excited," Bush Hager said. "We have a pilot called Line of Fire that stars Peter Krause and Hope Davis, which will air right here on NBC, Monday nights at 10 p.m. [ET] after The Voice. Which, we've been told, is a great slot."

She added, "I wrote back to Josh, who is our showrunner and creator, I wrote to him, and I said, 'I love Mondays.' And I meant, like, for us, you know? Because Mondays are a night where you want to come home, and this is, like, family drama."

Additionally, Bush Hager said the series was somewhat inspired by her experience with the Secret Service as the daughter of former President George W. Bush.

"Protective services do everything for other people," she pointed out. "And what does that do to your own family? ... It's about a family of people that are in different branches of protective services, and there is this big mystery to it. But it's also about when you sacrifice time with your own family to protect others, what does that do to you all?"

She further described the show as if Scandal and Six Feet Under "had a baby."

In the comments of the Instagram post, Today fans joined Jones and Bush Hager in celebrating the career news. One Instagram user declared, "AMAZING Jenna!!!!!!!!! Xoxoxo."

Another shared, "Congratulations Jenna❤️❤️❤️."

Someone else exclaimed, "YESSSS."

A different fan wondered, "That sounds awesome. When does it start?"

Meanwhile, yet another fan commented, "Amazing," as another shared, "😁💪🎬📽."

As of writing, a premiere date for Line of Fire has not been announced.
