'Fast & the Furious' TV show in the works at Peacock
May 12 (UPI) -- Peacock has announced it is working on a TV series based on the Fast & the Furious film franchise.
Vin Diesel, who has starred in 10 F&F films since 2001, will executive produce the show.
The franchise also includes the spin-off movie, Hobbs & Shaw, as well as video games and Universal theme-park rides.
The movies also featured Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster and the late Paul Walker.
Mike Daniels -- whose credits include Sons of Anarchy, Shades of Blue and Rockford Files -- and Wolfe Coleman -- who worked on Shades of Blue -- will be co-showrunners.
No casting or premiere date has been announced yet.
