Taylor Swift Celebrates Lena Dunham's 40th Birthday at Star-Studded Party

Writer, director and actress Lena Dunhamis celebrating a milestone birthday today, and her long-time close friend Taylor Swiftwas in attendance of an intimate birthday gathering, along with actress and model Emily Ratajkowski and actor Andrew Rannells.

In honor of the Girls creator turning 40, Rannells shared several stories on his Instagram account, including one showing a selfie of himself and Dunham together, with Dunham donning a birthday tiara and the text reading, "I continue to be in awe of your kindness and talent. I'm very lucky to be your friend." Rannells also wrote "Happy birthday" and tagged Dunham in the post.

Another story on Rannells' Instagram account showed a photo of Dunham, Rannells, Swift and Ratajkowski seated together around a table. On that story, the text said, "And thank you for taking this picture so I can seem cool for the kids."

Swift also drew eyes at the birthday gathering because she was wearing an all-white outfit-something that had some fans hearing wedding bells due to her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Their wedding date is unsurprisingly being kept under wraps, which has led to plenty of online speculation about when the couple might be tying the knot (and if, as is rumored to be true of Zendayaand Tom Holland, they might get married without the public knowing).

This is also not the first time of late that Swift stepped out in an outfit that fans saw as bridal, which has only renewed public interest in when her wedding might take place.

Dunham has also been making headlines recently, particularly following the publication of her book Famesick: A Memoir, which came out on April 14 of this year and was highly praised by many, including stars like Natalie Portman. In fact, in Entertainment Tonight's post highlighting Dunham's birthday dinner, Portman and Monica Lewinsky's birthday wishes for Dunham were also highlighted.
