Chomps Turns Rotisserie Chicken Into Limited-Edition Fashion Accessory
Chomps is taking snack culture to an entirely new level.
Thursday, May 28, the popular meat snack brand announced the launch of "Le Chic'ken," a limited-edition purse inspired by the iconic plastic rotisserie chicken container found in grocery stores. The unusual accessory arrives just ahead of National Rotisserie Chicken Day on June 2 and was designed to celebrate the debut of Chomps' new chicken stick lineup.
According to the company, fans will have a chance to win a Le Chic'ken bag filled with all three new chicken stick flavors beginning June 2 at 11 a.m. ET on Chomps.com. No purchase is necessary.
The bag is designed to resemble the familiar dome-shaped rotisserie chicken packaging, transforming the grocery store staple into what Chomps describes as a fashion-forward accessory built to hold both everyday essentials and snacks.
"Rotisserie chicken is a cultural obsession, and when we looked at what makes it so beloved, we saw so many similarities with Chomps: real ingredients, satisfying protein, and genuine convenience," Stacey Hartnett, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Chomps, said in a statement.
"Now, with Le Chic'ken, it's easy to look like a snack while eating your snacks. It's great for the runway or running errands, comes fully stocked with Chomps, and we're leaving no crumbs," Hartnett added.
The launch also coincides with the rollout of Chomps' new chicken sticks, which come in Original Chicken, Nashville Hot and Savory Breakfast flavors. The company says each stick contains 12 grams of protein, 80 calories and zero grams of sugar.
To celebrate National Rotisserie Chicken Day, Chomps will host a pop-up event in New York City on June 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 147-149 Mercer Street. Social media personality Christina Najjar, better known as Tinx, is scheduled to appear from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Visitors can sample Chomps products, enter for a chance to win a Le Chic'ken bag and receive giveaways while supplies last.
Chomps chicken sticks will also be 20% off on Chomps.com on June 2. The products are available at retailers including Aldi, Target, Walmart, Kroger, Sprouts, Wegmans, HEB and Publix.
