Jay Shetty's ‘On Purpose' Podcast Is Coming to Netflix in Major Streaming Deal
Jay Shetty's On Purpose is moving to a major streaming service.
The motivational speaker, author, and podcast host is bringing video episodes of his hit podcast to both Netflix and Spotify beginning July 13, according to a Spotify announcement.
The new partnership will make On Purpose available in video form across both platforms, expanding the show beyond its traditional podcast audience.
"On Purpose has built one of the most engaged podcast audiences in the world, and we're excited to expand our partnership with Netflix and Jay by bringing video episodes to Spotify," Roman Wasenmüller, Spotify's Global Head of Podcasts, said in the release.
Netflix also confirmed the move, writing that video episodes of On Purpose will be available on Netflix and Spotify starting July 13.
Why Jay Shetty's Podcast Deal Is a Big Move
On Purpose has become one of the most recognizable wellness and personal-growth podcasts in the space, with Shetty interviewing celebrities, authors, experts, athletes, and thought leaders about purpose, relationships, mental health, and success.
The move also reflects the growing importance of video podcasts, as more listeners watch long-form interviews rather than just listen. For Shetty, the deal puts On Purpose on two major streaming platforms at once.
"This is a historic moment, not just for On Purpose but for podcasting itself," Shetty said in a press release shared with People. "We're entering a new era where interviews can impact culture as powerfully as movies, music, and television on the global stage."
Shetty said the partnership with both Netflix and Spotify is something he would not have expected when he started the podcast seven years ago.
"To be in business with two of the most influential forces in global entertainment is unprecedented, and I couldn't be more energized for what's ahead," he added.

How Fans Can Watch 'On Purpose'
Beginning July 13, 2026, fans will be able to watch video episodes of On Purpose on Netflix and Spotify.
The Netflix announcement said the show will feature three episodes per week, with in-depth conversations across wellness, culture, relationships, and personal growth.
Spotify will also offer video episodes, while continuing to serve the podcast's existing audience. The company described the new chapter as a way to give fans a more immersive experience with the show.
Variety reported that the multiyear agreement is worth up to $100 million, citing a source familiar with the deal. Netflix, Spotify, or Shetty have not publicly disclosed the official terms of the deal.
Jay Shetty's Expanding Media Career
The Netflix and Spotify deal comes during a busy year for Shetty.
In January, he told People that he was entering 2026 focused on protecting his priorities and taking ownership of the parts of his life that matter most. He also launched Messy Love: Difficult Conversations for Deeper Connection, an Audible Original podcast focused on live relationship coaching with real couples.
At the time, Shetty said the project was one of the things he was most excited about in 2026.
"What I'm taking into the New Year with me is making sure that my priorities are my priorities and that my life and my day and my weeks and my months and my year are structured around the things that I deeply believe and are important to me," he told People.
Now that On Purpose is heading to Netflix and Spotify in video form, Shetty's podcast is set to reach an even wider audience.
