'90s Rock Band Announces Final Show After 37 Years
The beloved '90s Dutch rock band The Gathering has announced the final show of their 30th anniversary tour for their third album Mandylion. The news was shared on Monday morning via Instagram, leaving fans excited for what is to come.
The Gathering launched their anniversary tour last June with a series of exclusive reunion shows in the Netherlands. By August, the group was playing sold-out concerts throughout the region. Now, the sensational rock act is closing out the final show of their year-and-a-half-long trek with a special night of celebration.
In the caption of the announcement post, the band wrote a blurb to express their gratitude for their iconic album, additionally highlighting their fourth record, Nighttime Birds, which will soon be celebrating its 30th anniversary as well.
"During this evening, we will not only celebrate Mandylion, but also shine a spotlight on Nighttime Birds, which will likewise mark its 30th anniversary in 2027," the band wrote. "With Nighttime Birds, we continued the musical journey that began with Mandylion. The two albums are inextricably linked and together represent an important chapter in our creative evolution as a band. The songs on these records still hold a special meaning for us-and for many of you. This will be a unique evening dedicated to both albums and the journey we have shared with you over the past 30 years."
The unforgettable night will take place on January 16, 2027 and will be a unique concert dedicated to honoring their early works. In the comments section, longtime fans left thrilled messages.
