Rod Stewart Postpones Red Rocks Concerts at Doctor's Request
Rod Stewart has postponed additional concerts to follow his doctor’s orders. His doctor wants him to rest his voice to recover from vocal issues.
Stewart is moving his June 15 and 16 shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, to Sept. 2 and 3, 2027. The venue announced the news via their social media accounts.
“Following examinations at Colorado Voice Clinic this afternoon, Dr. David Opperman has prescribed vocal rest for Rod Stewart,” the post states. “Evaluation revealed significant inflammation and strain of the vocal folds, making it impossible for him to safely perform without the risk of further injury and potential long-term damage to his voice.”

The post adds: "Rod is deeply disappointed and sincerely apologizes to his fans for this inconvenience. He looks forward to returning to the stage as soon as he is medically cleared."
It’s totally understandable that if he can’t sing, he can’t perform. But, some fans weren’t happy that the announcement happened close to show time. “Why wait an hour before the show? Bartenders and other staff had been called off hours ago? Unacceptable,” one fan said on X.
This isn’t the first time. Stewart canceled his show in San Diego on Friday, April 12, due to an acute upper respiratory infection that gave him laryngitis.

Stewart's next concert is scheduled for June 19 in West Valley City, Utah. For now, that show is still happening, but if you have tickets to the gig, keep an eye out for changes. Hopefully his voice will have fully recovered by then and he can get back on the stage to perform.
