Indie group Modest Mouse plays the Paramount Theatre
Coming from Issaquah, the indie rock group Modest Mouse came together in 1992 and went on to make a name in the music world. Known for strong song structure and vocals, the group will perform Monday and Tuesday at the Paramount Theatre, 911 Pine St., Seattle. Capitol Volkssport Club hosts 2 walks
Get your walking shoes dusted off and make plans to take in two walks with the Capitol Volkssport Club this week. All walks are free. For more information about the club, go to capitolvolkssportclub.org.
▪ Join the Woodard Bay-Chehalis Western Trail walk that will travel through farmlands and forests as far as the hospital and return. The 10K walk with a 5K option is rated easy. Meet at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at the South Bay Market & Deli, 3425 Shincke Road NE, Olympia.
▪ Take a ferry ride and explore Anderson Island on a 9 a.m. walk Thursday. The 10K walk with a 12K option will take you through areas of the island. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Steilacoom ferry dock;l round-trip ferry fare is $5.30 for adults, $2.65 for seniors. The group will return to Steilacoom on the 12:30 p.m. ferry.

Huey Lewis and the News plays at Tulalip Resort Casino
With a run of hit singles during the 1980s and early 1990s, eventually scoring a total of 19 top ten singles across the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Contemporary and Mainstream Rock charts, Huey Lewis and the News is a household name in the pop rock music world. See them in a 7 p.m. concert Thursday at Tulalip Resort Casino, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd., Tulalip. Tickets are $30-$70; get yours through Ticketmaster.
