Comic Matt Braunger appearing at Tacoma Comedy Club
Comedian Matt Braunger will kick off his nationwide Ding Donger Tour this week at the Tacoma Comedy Club.
The 41-year-old Chicago native first came to fame as a cast member on MADtv during its final season in 2008-09. He played several characters, and did a number of celebrity impressions during 12 episodes. He also has been a recurring guest star on NBC’s “Up All Night.”
He also has made multiple appearances on the late night talk shows, as well as appeared on shows including “United States of Tara,” “Pushing Daises” and “Carpoolers.”
His debut comedy album, “Soak Up the Night,” came out in 2009. That year he was named to Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch and the Hot 9 in ’09 list from Comedy Central.
The next year he filmed a half-hour Comedy Central Presents special. In 2012, his hourlong “Shovel Fighter” aired on Comedy Central.
Earlier this year, he released his third album, “Big Dumb Animal.” That comedy special is available on Netflix.
When: Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday (Oct. 2) at 8 and 10:30 p.m. and Saturday at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Note, the 10:30 p.m. performances are 21 and older only.
