“The Comedy of Errors” opens at Lakewood Playhouse
Local theater is back in swing with the opening of “The Comedy of Errors” produced by the Lakewood Playhouse. It is a fun house mirror reflection of life in the Northwest. Opera arias are the stars at Jacobsen Series concert
For all you opera lovers, make plans to take in the Jacobsen Series: Arias, Arias, and More Arias at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The University of Puget Sound will present Dawn Padula, mezzo-soprano; Tanya Stambuk on piano and Gwynne Kuhner Brown as guest speaker at the performance. It will be held in Schneebeck Concert Hall on the university campus, 1500 N. Warner St., Tacoma. Tickets are $15, $10 seniors, student and military. Old-fashioned harmony in free Totemaires concert
Around for 69 years, the Tacoma Totemaires Barbershop Harmony Chorus will be performing it fall concert, “Back in the Old Routine.” The 2 and 7 p.m. concert Saturday will be at the Tacoma Community College Auditorium, 6501 S. 19th St., Tacoma. Cyclocross race in Tumwater is free and spectator friendly
Discover the world of cyclocross at the Deschutes Cyclocross Race starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. The spectator-friendly event is free with races happening all day. Watch as cyclist ride the technical, sometimes muddy course, which includes jumping barriers and riding or running through a sand pit. There is also a kids race.
