Christmas Victorian style

Victorian Country Christmas festival is opening Wednesday at the Washington State Fair and Events Center, 110 Ninth Ave. SW, Puyallup. Hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Dec.4-5 and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 6. Tickets are $8-$12 online. Tickets sales at the gate are cash only. Tubas invited to Christmas concert

Join University of Puget Sound students and faculty, and guest artists for a festive concert: Tuba Christmas. It’s at 7 p.m. Tuesday at University of Puget Sound Wheelock Student Center, 1500 N. Warner St., Tacoma. The concert is free.

Gingerbread houses at libraries

Make and decorate your own gingerbread house. All supplies provided. All ages welcome; children under 6 with adult. Registration required; call the local branch.
