Take in the Tacoma Wedding Expo this weekend at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall. There will be all types of wedding vendors, plus fashion shows throughout the day. Hours are 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $16, discounts are offered online at bridesclub.com/Tacoma-Wedding-Expo.

Jamz Cheer and Dance “Battle of the Pacific Northwest” takes place at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, 1500 Broadway, Tacoma. See the area’s best cheer and dance groups compete to qualify for the 2016 Jamz School Nationals. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, competition begins at noon. Admission is $10 adults, $5 seniors and free for 5 and younger at the door.

Artifact ID Day is being hosted by The Burke Museum, Northeast 45th Street and 17th Avenue Northeast, Seattle. It’s the one day where all the experts are in one place to help you discover the history of your personal collections. Bring your treasured items, up to three per family, to find out their stories. Experts will examine baskets, blankets and other objects from Native American cultures, as well as archaeological artifacts, bones, fossils and rocks. The event is 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday and is included in museum admission: $10 general, $8 senior, $7.50 student with ID and youth ages 5 and older. Learn more at burkemuseum.org.

Family Nature Walk Explore Tacoma Parks during these seasonal naturalist-led family walks. Not recommended for wheelchairs, strollers or children under 3, though all are welcome. 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Swan Creek Park, 2820 Pioneer Way E, Tacoma. Free. 253-591-6439, tacomanaturecenter.org
