Planes and more planes

Come out to see everything to do with aviation, including more than 350 exhibitors and airplane displays, free seminars and career forums at the annual Northwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show. It’s at the Washington State Fair Events Center, 110 Ninth Ave. SW, Puyallup, from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 per day, but kids 17 and younger are free. Repeatedly peaks

Meet Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, the first woman to scale all 8,000-meter peaks without the use of supplementary oxygen, when she appears at part of National Geographic Live series at The Washington Center for Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia. She has climbed all 14 main peaks in the 8,000-meter series, as well as four higher summits, but her passion is the people, culture and religion of the places she’s climbed. Get your tap shoes on

For a night of music hopping and hard-hitting percussive dance, come out for Rhythmic Circus: Feet Don’t Fail Me Now at Pantages Theater, 901 Broadway, Tacoma. The group, with a seven-piece funk band, a trunk full of tap shoes, costumes and a variety of music genres, will get the audience tapping or jumping in their seats. The Indigo Girls

With a tour history spanning 25 years and a dedication to many social and environmental causes, the Indigo Girls, a Grammy Award-winning folk rock duo, will be coming to The Showbox at the Market, 1426 First Ave., Seattle. Guitar superhero

Having released his first solo album in 1986 and more recently his 15th, “Shockwave Supernova,” Joe Satriani is marking this milestone anniversary with his “Surfing to Shockwave” 2016 Tour spotlighting his 30-year career. Happy birthday Lakewood

Join in celebrating the city of Lakewood 20th Anniversary “Celebrating Excellence — Past, Present and Future” on Tuesday. There will be notable individuals from the city’s history, displays, pictures and slideshow that tell the city’s history, performances by Lakes High school Studio Choir, trivia, refreshments and fun. Beyond brushing

Learn about good dental health for your kids at the annual Pierce County Dental Society’s Children’s Dental Health Day. There will be plenty of free activities, including goodie bags, face painting, dental screenings and referrals for care, fluoride varnish applications, clinics and some free care for qualified participants ages infant to 18 years old. Talkin’ dirty

You may know Mike Rowe from his Discovery Channel’s Emmy-nominated series, “Dirty Jobs.” He is coming to the Paramount Theatre, 911 Pine St., Seattle, in his touring show “Dirty Talk with Mike Rowe.” He will be sharing behind-the-scenes adventures and escapades, followed by a Q&A at the 8 p.m. show Saturday. With topics such as barnyard humor, artificial insemination and feces, the show is not recommended for young children. Tickets are $35.75-$55.75 and are available at 877-784-4849 or stgpresents.org.
