Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bonnie Raitt blends blues, R&B, rock and pop to create her sound that has won multiple Grammy Awards. With the release of her 20th album, “Dig In Deep,” she is touring the country with special guests The California Honeydrops. Hear ‘em roar at Dome

As the official feeder system for Monster Energy Supercross, AMSOIL Arenacross brings some of the best up-and-coming riders together for fast-paced competition. The course at the Tacoma Dome for this weekend’s event is filled with difficult challenges, airtime, speed and close-contact racing. Come out for two days of motorcycle racing. Professional racing starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, and Amateur Day starts at noon Sunday. Tickets are $10-$40 and are available through Ticketmaster.

Take home a fuchsia

Get a start on your flower baskets at the Tahoma Fuchsia Society’s annual plant sale starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. There will be a variety of hanging and perennial hardy fuchsias in four-inch pots and an assortment of other plants to browse. It’s at the Disabled Veterans Hall, 1110 N. Stevens St., Tacoma.

Bringing their mountain gospel sound, Loose Canon invites the public to a family-friendly community singalong starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Come out to Bethany Presbyterian Church, 4420 N. 41st St., Tacoma, for a free night of music followed by a cobbler-pie social. As part of Third Thursday, the Tacoma Art Museum is hosting its annual Used Book Sale from 5-7 p.m. Thursday. Books are a wide range of artistic subjects including exhibition catalogues, art history, biographies, art instruction and more. See cats, cats and more cats

You don’t have to be a “cat lady” to enjoy the ACFA Championship Cat Show, “Tip Toe Through the Tulips,” taking place this weekend at the Thurston County Fairgrounds, 3054 Carpenter Road, Lacey. There will be cats of all kinds, sizes and breeds competing along with everything to do with cats. Lunch will be available for purchase. The activities begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
