Things to do: Go Skate Tacoma, 19th Century food demonstrations, festival and more

Go Skate Tacoma Day with Alchemy Skateboarding, where skateboarding is king at Tollefson Plaza in downtown Tacoma. It will include large ramps, competitions, free lessons and more. Hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and admission is free to the public. Donations will be accepted. For more information, go to alchemyindoor.org.
