A Night of Art at Foss Waterway Seaport reception for Seattle-based sculptor Steve Jensen and “tape muralist” Daniel Alcyone, with a musical performance by Teresa Lin. 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Foss Waterway Seaport, 705 Dock St., Tacoma. Free. 253-272-2750 fosswaterwayseaport.org

Friday

Fort Nisqually’s 19th Century Family Fun Night starting at 6 p.m. Friday. Bring your own picnic dinner and the family for fun games, dancing, relay races and the ever popular “Candy Cannon” shooting out salt water taffy for the kids. Come out to Point Defiance Park and join in. Admission is $5-$8 with children four and younger free. For more information call 253-591-5339.
