Northwest Shooting Sports Expo is billed as a premier shooting exhibition and showcase. It covers everything from tactical, competition and hunting to law enforcement and military. It runs 10 a.m. Saturday through 6 p.m. Sunday at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, 1500 Broadway, Tacoma. Admission is free, registration is required. Go to nwshootingsportsexpo.com

Fly-In, Drive-In Movie at the Tacoma Narrows Airport, 1110 26th Ave. NW, Gig Harbor. There will also be a paper airplane contest, ice cream, popcorn and of course the screening of an outdoor movie starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join in the fun. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance at gigharborfilmfestival.org/fly-in-drive-in-movie

“Art, Edibles & Sustainable Culture” in Swan Creek Park, a temporary exhibit that will explore the park landscape from the points of view of about a dozen area artists and their students. Free opening day events 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday. Enter Swan Creek Park near the intersection of East 42nd Street. and East Roosevelt Avenue the south side of the entrance is a community garden.
