1,000 vehicles will roll into LeMay Car Show

More than 1,000 vintage vehicles will be on display when the 39th annual LeMay Car Show takes place Saturday at two Tacoma locations.

What started as a gathering with Harold and Nancy LeMay serving lemonade to friends on the couple’s front porch now attracts thousands of automotive fans.

More than 500 vintage vehicles from the LeMay Family Collection will be on display at the Marymount Event Center, with hundreds more on the grounds of the LeMay home.

Other show features include a Car Club Corral, vintage car auction, collections of dolls and antiques, and other nostalgic memorabilia.  

Mulitple locations: The main events will take place at the LeMay Family Collection at Marymount Event Center, while others will be held at the private LeMay home grounds 1.5 miles away. This is the one day each year the LeMay home grounds are open to the public. Bus transportation will be provided between the two locations.

Fundraiser: Donations and proceeds from this event benefit the LeMay Family Collection Foundation.

When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday.

Where: Marymount Event Center, 325 152nd St. E., Tacoma.

Tickets: $15 for adults, $5 for students ages 6-17, free for LeMay Family Collection Foundation members and children 5 and younger.

Note: No smoking or pets are allowed on the properties.
