Peter Max, the iconic American painter known for psychedelically vivid images from Boeing jets to presidential portraits, comes to Seattle this month for a touring retrospective and weekend of receptions. Tango outside the Museum of Glass

Latin Arts festival

Centro Latino is organizing the Tacoma Latin Arts Festival and juried art show Sunday on the Hilltop. Events include live music fusing Latin pop with Afro-Latin and Caribbean rhythms, Latino artists and craft vendors, a costume and flag procession, kids’ activities, Latin American food vendors and a health and education resources station. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
