New Muses does Pirandello
In “Six Characters in Search of an Author,” finishing this weekend at New Muses, Nobel Prize-winning Italian playwright Luigi Pirandello blurs the lines between theater and reality. As actors begin rehearsal for a new play, six fictional characters arrive begging for an ending for their story. Directed by Niclas Olson.

Summerplay at Tacoma Musical Playhouse

New art at Matter gallery
Matter gallery now features work by four Tacoma artists. Selinda Sheridan plays with abstraction and subtle humor in sumi ink, Elise Richman explores structural colors via suspended transparent cones, Melissa Balch creates anthropomorphic organic forms in glazed ceramics and Andrew Deem pushes functional boundaries in terra-cotta.
