Oddfellas Pub and Eatery is expanding to Tacoma.

The 8-year-old Auburn pub with more than 20 craft beers on tap and a broad menu of American and European pub fare will open in the Westgate neighborhood.

If all goes as planned, the pub will have a November opening. The restaurant's owners expect building permits to be issued in August.

Co-owners David Allen and Matt Altick say they plan to seat about 110 diners in the 4,000-square-foot Tacoma pub that will have a seasonal patio seating another 75 diners.

The pub will be located in a new building on Pearl Street next to The Habit Burger Grill.

Allen said the Tacoma bar and restaurant will duplicate the menu and beer selection at the Auburn location, which opened in 2010 with a name that is a nod to the old Odd Fellows hall that once stood in downtown Tacoma.

They plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner service at the Tacoma restaurant and will serve everything from bangers and mash to schnitzel, cottage pie, pizza, burgers, wraps and sandwiches. There will be more than 20 beers on tap with a deep focus on craft brew. Kids will be allowed.

Allen’s from a well-known restaurant family in Auburn. They’ve owned and operated Longhorn Barbecue since 1997. The restaurant was founded in Texas by Allen’s family more than 70 years ago.

Allen recently sold the site where Auburn Longhorn Barbecue sits and will move the restaurant to a commercial kitchen in Auburn where he’ll focus on catering, take-out and Uber Eats delivery service.

They also own Bogey’s Public House, a restaurant at the Auburn Golf Course.
