Time running out to pick your favorites to advance in our Pierce County sports bar poll
Brackets are everywhere this time of year. In honor of March Madness, we are pitting 64 bars across Pierce County in a battle of best sports bar.
Many have “sports bar” in the name. Others are pubs, public houses, bars and grills, taverns, saloons — you name it.
Some fans love the thrill of sound-on games with fellow fans yelling profanities at the television screen. Others might appreciate the low-key nature of a bar that happens to have televisions that play live sports, where buckets of Coors Light are swapped for a pint of Manny’s Pale Ale and a crafty burger.
Where do you love to catch the big game in Pierce County? Vote for your favorite below, bracket-style. Voting in the first round ends at 2 p.m. on March 23.
How it works:
▪ In the first round, 64 bars face off in head-to-head matchups. We pitted them alphabetically, as in Bar A plays Bar Z. They meet around M and O. There are some surprisingly interesting battles here, but of course there will be some tough losses.
▪ Choose a winner for each matchup. The next in line will show up automatically after each click.
▪ Stay tuned for the second round, when the 32 winners face off in another heated competition to reveal the Spirited 16.
