Pi Day is upon us. While March 14 celebrates the famous mathematical constant pi, it also gives us a good excuse to eat the dessert of the same name.
Here are some spots in and around Tacoma where you can celebrate accordingly.

This bakery on Sixth Ave sells a variety of sweet potato treats, including the classic pie. You can find the sweet potato pies whole and by the slice, along with pecan pies. Eudora’s also offers mini sweet potato pies and a whole apple pie.

This micro scratch bakery supplies treats to several different coffee shops around Tacoma but also makes quite a variety of baked goods available for pick-up. All the pies are 9 inches and can serve up to eight people. Flavors include lemon meringue, chocolate cream, peanut butter and jelly, mixed berry and apple rosemary cheddar. Note that the bakery isn’t a retail storefront — you place orders by phone or online and pick them up at the bakery.

If you can’t decide between sweet and savory, look no further than Tacoma Pie. The pizzeria known for its deep dish Detroit-style pizzas will also be serving cottage pie through St. Patrick’s Day, which includes meat, veggies and a mashed potato topping. Tacoma Pie also serves a variety of traditional dessert pies, including key lime, coconut, strawberry and peach cobbler.
