Dining calendar: Harmon Oktoberfest, brunch returns to Marrow and starts at The Valley

HUB, HARMON EVENTS
The Hub at Gig Harbor will celebrate its second anniversary Saturday with a silent auction fundraiser for the family of Jamie Fay, the Chambers Bay golf official who was killed by a falling tree during a storm in August. At the sister restaurant, Harmon Brewery and Restaurant in downtown Tacoma, an Oktoberfest celebration begins Monday and continues through the week. NEW WEEKEND BRUNCH OPTIONS
Brunch is back at Marrow. The Sixth Avenue neighborhood restaurant discontinued brunch last summer, but now it’s returning on Sundays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Find the restaurant at 2717 Sixth Ave., Tacoma; 253-267-5299 or marrowtacoma.com.
Here’s another Tacoma breakfast find. The Valley Pub is now serving weekend brunch from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The menu lists shrimp and grits ($11.25), pork belly biscuits and gravy ($11.25) a Southwestern Monte Cristo ($9.75) and other selections.
