The gravy on the floor, the mashed potatoes under the table, cranberry sauce spilled all over the counter. Thanksgiving cleanup has to be the least favorite part of Thanksgiving.

So skip it.

Let someone else do the heavy lifting for Thanksgiving (Nov. 26 this year) and dine out at one of these Tacoma-area restaurants. You’d better make reservations now because space fills up fast the closer it gets to Thanksgiving and you’ve only got two weeks until turkey day.

Ben Dew’s Clubhouse Grill: The Tacoma restaurant will serve a plated Thanksgiving dinner until 8 p.m. The plated dinner comes with all the trimmings and is $17.50 for adults, or $15.50 for the senior portioned plate. Brix 25: The Gig Harbor restaurant known for its extensive wine list will host a plated Thanksgiving dinner from 1-7 p.m. Reservations are a must. Plated dinners will include roast turkey, prime rib and more. More details at the restaurant’s website. 7707 Pioneer Way, Gig Harbor; 253-858-6626

Gateway Cottage: This Parkland neighborhood restaurant will serve plated dinners from 1-7 p.m. Reservations are a must. The plated dinners include a traditional turkey dinner, a ham dinner and a salmon dinner (all $26.95) and a prime rib dinner for $29.95. Every meals is served with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, rolls and more. All entrees also served with pumpkin pie. Hub Restaurants: The Tacoma and Gig Harbor locations of the Hub will serve Thanksgiving specials, as well as a limited Hub menu. The Thanksgiving dinner plate ($12 kids; $20 adults) will come with all the fixings. There’s also a Thanksgiving pizza, topped with gravy, turkey, stuffing, potatoes and a cranberry drizzle. Johnny’s Dock Restaurant and Marina: The waterside restaurant on the Foss Waterway will serve a traditional plated Thanksgiving dinner, as well as prime rib, salmon or shrimp or crab Louie salad. Lobster Shop: The Ruston Way restaurant will have an a la carte and entree menu from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Reservations are a must. A traditional plated Thanksgiving meal including roast turkey, vanilla bean whipped sweet potatoes, brown butter mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, apple and dried cherry stuffing, Brussels sprouts and cranberry orange relish will be served ($27, with discounts for children). McNamara’s Pub and Eatery: The DuPont restaurant will have a traditional turkey dinner, plus its full menu, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Meals are $14 for adults; $5 for children 12 and younger and free for kids 2 and younger. Dinner includes a salad starter, slow-roasted turkey, garlic-herb mashed potatoes, sourdough stuffing, green bean casserole with frizzled onions, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. National Park Inn at Longmire: Head to Mt. Rainier’s Nisqually entrance for a Thanksgiving buffet served from noon- 6 p.m. Prices are $13.95 for kids 10 and younger or $23.95 for adults. The buffet includes turkey, cornbread and sage stuffing, mashed red potatoes, roasted root vegetables, salad, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. Reservations are a must. Call 360-569-2411. Pacific Grill: The downtown Tacoma restaurant will serve a plated Thanksgiving dinner and other plated entrees from 2-7 p.m. The Thanksgiving plate includes sage-roasted turkey, wild mushroom stuffing, lumpy mashed potatoes, Grandma Wallsten’s gravy, cranberry sauce with Grand Marnier and green bean casserole with crispy onions ($26.95). Stanley and Seafort’s: The Tacoma restaurant will serve a seated Thanksgiving dinner with a menu of plated entrees. A plated Thanksgiving meal ($26.95) will include slow-roasted turkey, chicken apple sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, fresh cranberry relish and turkey gravy. Top of Tacoma: The neighborhood bar, for patrons 21 and older only, begins serving its version of a Thanksgiving dinner at 5 p.m. with vegan, vegetarian and meat-eater options. A vegan dinner plate will come with roasted delicata and butternut squash, maple roasted Brussels sprouts, carrots, a yukon-parsnip puree, vegan gravy, mashed yams with candied pecans and a cranberry compote. A vegetarian dinner also will be served.
