There's a little-known tech sales-consulting firm in Puyallup. And it's hiring.
Next to the Safeway plaza and behind the Walgreens off Canyon Road in Puyallup is a Dutch tech company you might not know about.
Tools4ever, 11515 Canyon Road E., set up shop in Puyallup primarily as a result of managing director Tom Mowatt’s family ties to the area.
“I used to be in Kirkland, working for another company,” he said. After linking up with Tools4ever, based in Baarn, Netherlands, “I started this office down here. ... My family is in the Bonney Lake area.”
That gave the company two US offices: Puyallup and Lynbrook, New York. It also has offices overseas.
The Puyallup operation opened in 2001.
The company’s products and services focus on online identity governance and administration. Features include streaming user authentication and authorization and password management.
According to the company’s website, it has more than 5 million clients in a variety of sectors, including education, health care, government and finance organizations.
There are 30 employed at the Puyallup site, whose work focuses on consultancy and sales.
“The actual software is developed in The Netherlands,” Mowatt told The News Tribune.
“We’re a small family-oriented company,” he added.
It’s slowly growing, with plans to hire for a handful of positions in the next year for the Puyallup office.
“Three to five in business development, two in consultancy,” Mowatt said.
There about three months’ training involved to understand the company’s products.
Starting pay varies, with base pay from $45,000 to $55,000, not counting commissions.
