New MultiCare urgent care clinic opening this week in Frederickson
A new MultiCare Indigo Urgent Care clinic is set to open Tuesday (March 10) in Frederickson, but don’t rush over if you have symptoms of coronavirus, COVID-19.
Officials recommend following state and federal guidance to first call your primary care provider for further instruction regarding treating your symptoms or seek virtual medical care.
Shari Campbell, director of marketing and communications for MultiCare, told The News Tribune on Monday that virtual care offered in its health system saw a significant spike, with more than 1,800 cases in the first week of March.
Both MultiCare and CHI Franciscan now have either free or discounted offers on virtual office visits.
The new Frederickson clinic, 5314 176th St. E., Unit A, can treat minor injuries and illnesses, including small cuts that might require stitches as well as treatment for sprains. Digital X-ray and onsite lab tests also are available.
Because of its location near Frederickson’s industrial workforce, the site includes a MultiCare Centers of Occupational Medicine clinic, which opened earlier in March. The occupational clinic handles pre-employment medical screenings and specialized care for worker injuries.
