Massive self-storage facility opens near Tacoma Home Depot

If you’ve made any trips to the Home Depot near Fircrest, you might have wondered about the giant construction site close to the store.

That site is now the home of newly opened self-storage business.

West Coast Self-Storage Fircrest, 3001 S. Mullen St., is just south of state Route 16 and in front of Home Depot, 4602 Center St.

The site offers 738 units totaling 68,450 square feet of rentable storage space, offering both heated indoor units and units accessible via drive-up, with individual alarms. Units are available in various sizes.

The site also includes a retail store offering moving boxes and packing materials, with plans to offer U-Haul moving truck rental services in the future, according to a news release from the company.

Access hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Office hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The facility is managed by West Coast Self-Storage Group of Everett. The company has 73 managed and owned locations with 53 sites in Washington, 12 in Oregon and eight in California.
