Sixth Avenue taco spot closes, Tacoma bakery opens, as well as a new storage facility

The recently opened El Borracho Tacoma has closed for good.

The News Tribune reported that the popular taco spot closed the Tacoma location on Nov. 6.

According to the manager, the decision was due to “adverse financial effects of COVID-19.”

A new bakery hops in

A new bakery is coming to sixth avenue. The Cat and the Rabbitt at 2811 Sixth Ave., Tacoma is opening on Sunday, Nov. 15.

In a post on social media, the business said they are having a “soft opening Sunday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. or until sold out.”

All items will be sold through the front door until a to-go window is installed.

A variety of cakes or pieces by the slice will be available.
