WildFin American Grill will open its third location next year at Tacoma’s Point Ruston development, the restaurant chain announced Thursday.
The new, 200-seat restaurant’s opening will coincide with that of the billion-dollar mixed-use project’s nine-screen Century Theater. That theater is scheduled to open in early May.
The restaurant will be adjacent to the development’s waterfront Grand Plaza, a public space designed to be the centerpiece of the project built on what was once the site of the Asarco copper smelter.
WildFin will be Point Ruston’s second restaurant. The Two Town Pub and Cafe opened last summer in Point Ruston’s Copperline Apartments. WildFin has other restaurants in Issaquah and Renton.
The new eatery will feature both inside and outside seating as well as a window for waterfront walkers. WildFin will feature Northwest-sourced ingredients include local seafood, meats, fruit and produce.
Point Ruston ultimately will feature hundreds of apartments, condominiums and single-family homes built on the waterfront smelter site. Among future tenants are the movie multiplex, a Silver Cloud hotel, a grocery story, offices, a fitness center, a dozen retailers and a plastic surgery practice.
