South Sound Business People
▪ Monica Wylie has recently been promoted from programs director to deputy director with the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County. She is responsible for supervising the shelter operaitons including admission, kennels, cattery and customer service and also community outreach and volunteer programs. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and began with the Humane Society in 2003.
▪ Dr. Justin Sjulson, of Parkland Pacific Dental in Tacoma, recently achieved a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He passed a written exam and completed 500 hours of continuing education and three years of membership in the academy to receive the fellowship.
