Regional bank opens its third branch in Pierce County. Here are the details
Port Orchard-based Kitsap Bank has opened its newest branch in Tacoma.
The home for the new full-service branch, 1498 Pacific Ave., Suite 100, is a building that’s on the Link Light Rail T Line at the Convention Center/South 15th Street station.
It is the bank’s first full-service branch in Tacoma and offers “two ITS (Interactive Teller Services) machines. These machines function as regular ATMs, but offer the added flexibility of connecting with a Teller via video to complete more complicated transactions and receive service outside of traditional business hours,” according to a news release.
Theresa Portmann, vice president, branch manager and business development officer, leads the bank’s operations at the site, with Melissa Larson as assistant branch manager.
“Kitsap Bank’s expansion into Tacoma is a natural next step for us in our longstanding commitment to serving Pierce County,” said Steve Politakis, the bank’s CEO. “The Tacoma branch provides us with a hub to better serve our clients in the Tacoma area. We look forward to getting to know our new Tacoma neighbors and serving as a true community bank dedicated to providing high quality banking solutions and service.”
Branch hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the ITS machines are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Kitsap Bank operates in six Western Washington counties with 18 locations, including Fife and Gig Harbor, and $1.6 billion in assets.
“By opening a full-service branch in Tacoma, we are able to offer our existing and new clients East of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge even greater accessibility to Kitsap Bank through a dedicated Tacoma retail and business banking team,” Janet Silcott, marketing director for Kitsap Bank, told The News Tribune on Thursday.
