The master-planned Tehaleh community near Bonney Lake is gaining hundreds of new homes following a recent land purchase.

A joint venture between North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH) and Brookfield Residential has acquired 105 acres in the middle of the community. The land will be the future site of 372 single-family homes.

The new neighborhood will be called The Ridges and include single-family homes on 50-foot-wide lots, “anticipated to be ready for sale to homebuilders in 2027,” according to a recent release. The homes are expected to be ready for sale in 2028.

According to the release, “The Ridges will be fully integrated into Tehaleh, included in the Tehaleh Owners Association, and residents will be free to use Tehaleh’s extensive parks, trails and community facilities.”

The neighborhood also will offer additional parks and trails connecting to the area’s larger trail system. A new middle school is planned near the entrance to The Ridges, “which will serve students in The Ridges, as will the two existing elementary schools in Tehaleh,” the release added.

Further details, such as builders, floor plans and pricing for the new homes have not been determined.

County records show the sale closed near the end of June for nearly $8.8 million. The deal was facilitated by Land Advisors Organization’s Washington office co-founding principal Scott Cameron and Wes Falkenborg.

Land Advisors Organization represented the sellers, Elizabeth and Bruce Mitchell.

Brookfield Residential manages Tehaleh, the 4,700-acre planned community south of Bonney Lake, which, when completed, will have “more than 1,800 acres of parks, trails and open space,” the release stated.
