What’s going on with Krispy Kreme at Tacoma Mall? Here’s what we learned
Don’t worry, Tacoma fans of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, your store will be back in business soon.
The business listing for the Tacoma Mall store at 4302 Tacoma Mall Blvd. on Google notes the site is “temporarily closed.”
Customers on other social media sites speculated on what was going on. At least one post on Facebook indicated the site was in the midst of a remodeling project.
An automated voice message that plays for callers to the store states the site is “closed for a remodel starting on April 13, and we are scheduled to reopen on May 1.”
The message states that fundraising orders during the closure can be placed with “one of our neighboring Krispy Kreme locations in Issaquah or Seattle. They will be happy to help you.”
Fundraising orders after the reopening can be sent via email to fundraising@wksusa.com, according to the message.
A media representative for the mall’s parent company, Simon Property Group, noted that the site’s “refresh” was projected to be completed “in a week or so.”
The store is the only Pierce County location for the chain, which has eight sites in Washington state, including stores in Issaquah, Seattle, Richland, Spokane, Vancouver and Yakima.
No further details were immediately available on Wednesday.
