‘Birdman’ drummer coming to Tacoma

A renowned, award-winning jazz drummer will be in Tacoma next week for a clinic at Ted Brown Music.

Antonio Sanchez wrote and performed the soundtrack to the film “Birdman,” and has won four Grammys.

He is a Mexico City native and “considered to be one of the most in-demand drummers of his generation,” according to a news release.

Ted Brown Music will hold a clinic with Sanchez on Monday, Sept. 21. People can reserve a spot for just $5 by going to www.tedbrownmusic.com and clicking “events/gigs” then finding the event and following the links from there.
