Local events planned for Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 16-22

The Washington Department of Commerce reminds the state that Global Entrepreneurship Week is on its way: Nov. 16-22.

“Global Entrepreneur Week exposes thousands of Washingtonians to entrepreneurism and the possibility of starting a business, helping to seed the ground for future economic growth.” Said Commerce Director said Brian Bonlender in a release Friday.

As part of the celebration, the department said, “More than 100 activities are planned statewide to inspire, encourage and support new business startups.”

Two events in Pierce County include a gathering of 450 high school and middle school students scheduled for Nov. 12 at LeMay-America’s Car Museum and a gathering sponsored by New Tech Tacoma on Nov. 10 at the Hub Event Space near the Hub Restaurant at 203 Tacoma Ave.
