Workshop focuses on startup investors

The final workshop in a free business startup series Thursday will cover working with investors.

The workshop led by Andrew Klein, president of Zccounting.com, will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the William Factory Small Business Incubator, 1423 E. 29th St., Tacoma.

The six-workshop series, which began in January, is intended to help small businesses in their startup or expansion phase of development.

Klein will cover fundraising, contracts, investor equity, e-commerce, business planning, loans, investments and financial projections.

The workshop series will begin again in April.

Each workshop is led by a different instructor, most of whom are from the business world.

“They all have very valuable information,” said Ellis Holifield, project coordinator for the Business Incubator. “It’s an opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs, hear stories and witness real-life applications of the content that the instructors are going over.”
