Parametrix wins engineering industry award
The American Council of Engineering Companies has honored Parametrix of Puyallup with its National Recognition Award.
The council recognized 151 projects nationwide as “preeminent engineering achievements” as part of the 49th Annual Engineering Excellence Awards celebration, according to an ACEC release.
Award criteria included uniqueness and originality, technical innovation, social and economic value, complexity and success in achieving goals.
Parametrix was chosen for its work on the Calistoga Setback Levee in Orting.
“The project is a model for other communities throughout the region that face similar flood protection and river enhancement issues,” the release said.
