KeyBank consolidating 2 branches
KeyBank in May will consolidate two South Sound branches — one in South Tacoma and the other in Gig Harbor — with other branches located nearby.
▪ On May 13, the KeyBank branch at 3727 South Tacoma Way will consolidate with the branch at 3501 S. 19th St.
▪ On May 20, the downtown Gig Harbor KeyBank branch at 3216 Judson St. will consolidate with the Gig Harbor North branch at 5055 Borgen Blvd. N.W.
No jobs will be lost during the transition, KeyBank said in a statement Tuesday. Any displaced employees will be offered positions at other locations.
“Our decision to consolidate the branches was purely a business decision based on customer usage and branch proximity and in no way lessens our commitment to the South Sound — we are proud of our teams’ efforts in both locations,” stated John Roehm, KeyBank retail executive for Washington.
“We’re committed to making the consolidation as smooth as possible,” Roehm said.
All accounts will be transferred automatically at the time of the consolidation. Customers with safe deposit boxes are being asked to move the contents.
