South Sound Business People
▪ Laurel Whittaker joins Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn in Tacoma as an interior designer. She has more than 16 years of experience in space planning and interior design with an emphasis on tenant improvements. In addition, she has experience in architectural and engineering project support in alterations and new construction. Whittaker is currently working on the 2030 Strategic Facilities Plan Implementation for the Yakima County Courthouse and the Multi Agency Communications Center (MACC) 911 Center in Moses Lake. She holds a master’s degree in interior design.
▪ Sarah Middleton is the marketing manager at Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn in Tacoma. She will be responsible for leading marketing efforts for the firm's business development. Middleton has more than 10 years of marketing, proposal management and event planning experience in the architectural/engineering field.
▪ Pat Riggs has been named director of finance for Korsmo Construction in Tacoma. He is responsible for all financial elements of the business including cash management, accounting, forecasting, banking and collaboration with external advisers. Riggs has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, holding positions ranging from analyst to chief financial officer and chief operating officer. He has an MBA from the University of Puget Sound and eight years’ experience as a budget manager and credit analyst in the banking industry.
