▪ Christopher McPhail has joined Umpqua Bank in Tacoma as vice president and relationship manager for the Commercial Banking Center. He has 20 years of experience in commercial banking and will be responsible for the bank’s regional commercial growth. He was a relationship manager at KeyBank and worked as a district sales manager at Wells Fargo. He received his bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and served as a U.S. Army officer before joining the finance industry.

▪ Heather Giron Fritts has been named chief executive officer of Courage 360, formerly known as Washington Women’s Employment Education, in Tacoma. She had been the interim executive director since August. Giron Fritts received a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University and a master’s degree from Seattle University and has more than 20 years of experience with nonprofit and philanthropic agencies. She is responsible for development, organizational assessment and strategic planning. Most recently she served as foundation executive director for the Renton Technical College Foundation.
