Cablecraft Motion Controls of Tacoma to lay off 38 workers
Cablecraft Motion Controls will lay off 38 employees at its Tacoma plant beginning June 16, according to the state Employment Security Department.
“The local WorkSource office will reach out to the workers to ensure they have information on how to apply for unemployment benefits and to assist them in finding new jobs,” the department stated in a release.
Company representatives were unavailable for comment on Friday.
Cablecraft Motion Controls, with headquarters in New Haven, Indiana, “is a leader in mechanical control assemblies” and is a source for cable and linkage products, according to the company website.
The company’s Tacoma plant is at 4401 S. Orchard St.
