43.5 million: Number of women in America 18-50 who have children.
95.8 million: The number of children those women bore.
3.9 million: American women have given birth within the last year.
1 and 1: Placement of Noah and Emma on the list of most popular names for newborns in 2014.
$172.22: The amount an American consumer will spend, on average, for Mother’s Day.
$214 billion: The total amount Americans will spend.
$4.2 billion: Will be spent on jewelry.
$4.1 billion: Will be spent on outings and meals.
$2.4 billion: Will be spent on flowers.
$2.2 billion: Will be spent on gift cards.
90.7 percent: Of people buying greeting cards will buy them for a mother or stepmother.
23.1 percent: Will buy a gift for a wife.
17.8 percent: Will buy a gift for a grandmother.
19 percent: Of those people surveyed said they will spend more this year than last.
