“Now is the time to invest in Tacoma.”
So says city of Tacoma Community and Economic Development Director Ricardo Noguera, and the proof of that particular pudding will be presented June 1, from 8 a.m.-11 a.m., at LeMay - America’s Car Museum when the city will present an Economic Showcase.
Organizers expect more than 150 brokers, developers, investors and representatives of tech-savvy businesses to attend.
Mayor Marilyn Strickland will speak at the event, remarking on the presence of more than $275 million in planned investments in the city. Also slated to speak, according to a city news release, will be developers of specific hotel, residential and retail projects as well as Patrick Clark, University of Washington Tacoma real estate director, who will discuss the school’s blueprint for expansion.
